Receiving a call

1

Call detection

When a call comes in, the HOLD button flashes with the ring cadence, regardless of the PHONE/LINE IN button position.
2

Check CUE mode

Ensure the PGM/CUE button is in CUE position (released) before taking the line.
If it’s in PGM when answering, the call will go directly on air at the level set by the LEVEL knob.
3

Select PHONE mode

Set the PHONE/LINE IN button to PHONE position (released).
This allows you to hear the line audio and send return feed.
4

Answer the call

Press HOLD.
The caller will hear the program signal (PGM) as return feed.
5

Adjust headphone level

Adjust using the line’s LEVEL knob.
The master CUE MONITOR control also affects this level.
6

Talk off-air

Press the TALK button.
While pressed, the caller stops hearing the return feed and receives the operator’s voice.
When released, the line remains on hold with PGM return.
7

Listen to line only

The PGM button in the CUE MONITOR section allows removing program audio in headphones to hear only the telephone line.
8

Put the call on air

Press PGM/CUE to switch to PGM and adjust the level with the rotary knob.
The person on the line can dialogue with the four microphone users on the console.
9

Put call back on hold

To take the line off air and put it on hold:
  • Turn the LEVEL knob to zero.
  • Press CUE/PGM to return to CUE.
The line remains on hold listening to the program signal.
10

End the call

Press HOLD to disconnect and release the line.
