Description

The DX line features four stereo line channels. Each channel has dual inputs, switchable from the front panel [2].
  • LIN-1 and LIN-2 Channels:
    • Balanced stereo input (RJ45 connector).
    • Unbalanced stereo input (RCA connector).
  • USB-1 and USB-2 Channels:
    • Direct computer connection (equivalent to two external interfaces).
    • Provide PGM and REC signal routing to the computer.
816 Panel Linea Pn
  1. Gain control. Adjusts the input gain. On LIN-1 and LIN-2 channels, the gain adjustment is unified for inputs A/B. On USB channels, gain only affects the analog input.
Should be adjusted so the signal remains around 0 VU with the fader operating in the –10 to –20 dB range.
The digital level on the USB channel is adjusted from Windows©.
  1. A/B switching. Switches between the main and auxiliary input.
  2. BUS. Assignment to PGM (on-air) and REC mix buses.
  3. CUE. Activates pre-fader monitoring.
  4. Operating range. This section indicates the correct operational position for nominal signal level and proper input gain adjustment.
Gain should be adjusted so the fader operates above -30 dB. The OVL (7) indicator signals overload, i.e., excessive input gain.
  5. Main level control (fader): Adjusts the signal level in the mix.

On-Air

To send the signal on-air:
  1. Assign the channel to PGM.
  2. Raise the fader. The correct level is achieved when peaks reach 0 VU.
