To obtain optimal results from this console for a long time, it is recommended to follow the procedures indicated in this manual.

Console care

  • Keep the room clean and dust-free.
  • Clean front panel and cabinet with slightly damp cloth or sponge.
  • If dirt is difficult to remove, use mild detergent (suitable for painted walls or wallpaper).
Do not use alcohol, benzine, petroleum derivatives or furniture cleaners.
Smoking is prohibited in the control room.
Ashes and dust are lethal for faders and buttons.
Drinks and food should also be restricted in the operation area.
DX consoles use new generation conductive ceramic faders:
  • Service life > 10 million operations (~15 years of use) under normal conditions.
  • Maintenance-free.
  • More information at www.SolidynePro.com.

Preventive maintenance

DX816 and DX822 consoles use high-quality electronic components, eliminating preventive maintenance routines.
  • Handle the console with care.
  • Rear connectors are not designed for daily connection/disconnection.
  • Avoid connecting headphones directly to the console.
If headphones are frequently changed, install an external connection panel to prevent connector wear.

Spare parts

  • All channel faders include connectors.
  • Main faders are easy to replace:
    • Attached to chassis with two screws.
    • Polarized connector for quick connection.
Once removed, any module can be repaired as all components are identified in the Service Manual.
It is recommended to purchase the complete module and replace it, given the low cost compared to repair time.
